Dark Wood is a forested area in Act I, and can be reached by traveling through the Underground Passage located in Stony Field. It is the home of the Tree of Inifuss, which the player will be required to find during the Search for Cain quest.
Dark Wood is inhabited by the same monster types found in previous areas of Act I, however the Carver packs are noticeably larger than before. A Super Unique Brute named Treehead Woodfist can also be found here, near the Tree of Inifuss.
The Dark Wood has one exit, leading into the Black Marsh.

The Dark Wood is inahbited by many large groups of Carvers and their shamans, small groups of skeleton archers, Dark Lancers and Spike Fiends.
It contains one Super Unique Monster, Treehead Woodfist who guards the Tree of Inifuss
[edit] Quest
In the Search For Cain (quest) quest of Act I, Akara asks you to find the Tree of Inifuss, which will reveal the way to Tristram.
Akara translates the bark, and you must head to the Stony Field.
