Imperius

The Archangel Imperius is a member of the Angiris Council, appearing in The Sin War series of novels based on Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo universe. While he has yet to appear in any Diablo titles thus far, recent artwork for the upcoming Diablo III suggests he could play a role in the game.

Imperius was the most outspoken member of the Angiris Council of angels against allowing Sanctuary, the world of humans, to exist. He thought that humans, as descendants of demons, should not be allowed to exist.

While it is unclear whether the official artwork depicting an angel with blazing wings is in fact of Imperius, some fans of the universe familiar with the novels think that his role as antagonist of men make him a perfect character to introduce.
